If you're a Cinque fan then you'll be excited to see this lovely field blend available again.
Made from the original test plantings of Touriga Nacional and Sousao planted back in 2002 - these varieties grow next to each other in the House Block. Both late ripeners they are picked together and co-fermented to make a delicious base for the Cinque.
When we came to blend up the Cinque we really enjoyed the field blend as is. So we decided not to fiddle with it. We think you'll appreciate that decision.
"In a word: yum. This is meaty, densely packed with blackberries, cloves and aniseed, layered with ground black pepper and shavings of deli meat. Super-sweet on the nose, not so in the mouth. A wine of interest and rustic charm."
