This rare grape has an incredible story.  Originally from the Valencia region in Spain where it's known as Planta Fina de Paldraba, this variety is now almost extinct in Europe. Incredibly we found it growing underneath bracken and blackberries on the side of a bush track only a few miles from our farm. Amazing!

Our first cuttings were planted in 2017 and we're now into our fifth vintage of Planta Fina and delighted with the wines it produces.  A refreshing, dry white wine with lower alcohol - described by Max Allan as similar to a young Hunter Valley Riesling - but really with a taste all it's own.
