The 2021 Tempranillo is a bright and exuberant young thing! Punchy cherry berry aromas with spices and a flourish of fresh herbs. The palate is vibrant and textural with firm fleshy tannins, crunchy pomegranate acidity, fresh red cherries and some woodsy spice on the finish. Medium to full bodied with impressive length and heaps flavour. Juicy cherries and chompy tannins galore! Decant in its youth to unravel and soften or give it few years in the cellar.
Tempranillo is a famous Spanish grape variety that has become very popular in Australia. We have discovered it grows particularly well at our vineyard and in the surrounding Geographe region. We have produced a single varietal Tempranillo every year since 2004.
